RECIPE FOR ICE CREAM KISSES
A pinch of old city charm combined with these adorable newly engaged lovebirds is definitely a recipe our hearts are after! Add in a sprig of ice cream kisses and a dash of a riverfront breeze and you’ve got some beautifully classic, yet refreshingly playful engagement photos! But before this recipe is complete, Francesca and Peter are tying the knot at Mercer Oaks Golf Course in New Jersey!
Francesca and Peter first met each other almost ten years ago while they were both working at Tony Luke’s, a restaurant in Hamilton. From there on, you could say things got a little spooky! For their first date, the two visited Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, where they attended a Halloween event, Terror Behind the Walls. Peter had motives for this choice of destination though, as Francesca told us she believed he wanted her to be scared so he could hold her hand! What a gent!
Peter popped the question while the couple was vacationing in the Stowe/Burlington area of Vermont on September 20, 2017. They had been planning this trip for quite a while and were excited to embark on colorful “leaf peeping” adventures while also checking out a few of the local breweries in the area. First on their Vermont agenda though, was a trip to Moss Glen Falls, in Stowe Vermont. When they made it to the top of the waterfall it was beautiful, but Peter wanted to get a better view higher up, so the couple found a quiet little niche, tucked away from other hikers with a perfect view of the falls. Can anyone guess what happened next?! Peter finally asked Francesca to be his wife and forever best friend!
Our plan for their engagement session was to start out at Franklin Fountain for some ice creams and end at the Ben Franklin Bridge for sunset. Everything in between was a big adventure with these two cuties through some of the most historic Old City Philadelphia spots! Francesca and Peter told me that exploring Philly is one of their favorite date nights out so of course we ran with it and made Philly a stellar backdrop to their love story! After a stunning sunset on the pier, we grabbed a drink at La Peg right on the river and laughed till the sun went down. Literally!
