Happy Friday! I have officially started working out again after months and months of endlessly telling myself to start. Let’s be honestly, not many of us enjoy getting sweaty and sore... But we enjoy seeing results, am-I-righttt? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If anyone wants to jump on board with me, be virtual accountability buddies and share our successes and results to help each other + stay motivated, HOLLA at a girl!! 💪🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I am starting with Barre classes at my local studio @theprancingpeacock with @sgilm0re. We gotta get ready for our Tough Mudder in August so we don’t die and have to have our boyfriends drag us to the finish line. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ & I am doing at home workouts every other morning with YouTube Guru Katie Dunlap @lovesweatfitness! She’s amazing, you should check her out; It’s free and I set up YouTube on our SmartTV in the living room with a yoga mat. Talk about convenience... 🙌🏻

This moment in this photo was one of my proudest as a photographer. Why you ask? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Well it’s not the easiest to explain but I am going to take a stab at it right now... 😊 When you start a business, it’s not an over night process. It’s not even a few months process. When you are starting a photography business, it’s a process that takes years and years of defining yourself for your clients, where you belong in the artistic world, learning all of the tech side of things, building a website, becoming a writer for your blog, mastering marketing, social media algorithms, business legalities, stupid taxes (don’t get me started on those), and the list goes on. And you know the worst part? As a new creative business owner, we are probably going to have to do all of these things more than once because we are creatives at heart and not strategic entrepreneurs. 😵 So what’s this moment with Nataly and Danny got to do with all of that? Well, this moment opened my eyes to EXACTLY why I put myself through the ringer for this career. 🙌🏻 It’s for couples like Nataly and Danny. Two people madly in love who want to make memories and save them forever. The memories were not just in the photos I delivered to them via an online gallery, though. 🤔 Nope, it’s in this moment I created for them. The living, breathing moment where I was standing a little ways away from them with my camera up, as an raw and intimate moment unfolded before me. Nataly hiding her face, embracing so much swelling emotion as Danny told her all about the first memory where he knew he absolutely loved her with all his being. ❤️ THIS is what my job is all about. Not just creating beautiful images for people, but provoking out new love memories with your special person. And I just happen to be there on the sidelines with you guys, cheering your love story on. ✌🏻 This is the very moment I figured out my photography mission. Why I do what I do. Tell me this is not a small world... While I was in British Columbia for a retreat, I stayed in Gibson for a few extra days in the quaint Ty Gwyn Cottage, which was amazing by the way guysss! Katherine, the host’s daughter, reached out to me on Insta to say hi because crazily enough... I had just spent the past three days photographing some her friends at Cabin Fever Retreat! And again, crazily enough, I was looking for another couple to photograph while I was out there! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ BAM. That’s fate world! #sarafitzphoto
